字元型單色顯示模組
字元型 LCD 僅用於顯示文字或字元。
例如，一個 16×2 LCD 可顯示 兩行，每行 16 個字元；而 20×2 LCD 則可顯示 兩行，每行 20 個字元（註：原文錯寫成「顯示 4 行」，此處已修正）。
雖然字元型 LCD 僅能顯示文字，但仍有多種尺寸與顏色可供選擇，例如 16×1、16×4、20×4，顯示顏色有 藍底白字、綠底黑字 等等。
